Endovascular treatment for post thrombotic syndrome: antegrade and retrograde approaches

A 32-year-old-woman had history of left leg deep vein thrombosis about 10 years ago during pregnancy. She complained about severe edema with heaviness in left leg with high Villalta score and impaired life style. Antegrade approach from mid-thigh from left femoral vein failed due to failure to wire. The approach from Jugular access with retrograde wiring from Inferior Vena Cava to left common femoral vein was successful. Stenting from common iliac vein to common femoral vein was done with good result.
