IVUS guided intervention with zero contrast in a patient with claudication (RC3), severe chronic renal failure and complex bilateral iliac artery disease
Patient history and clinical investigation:
– 63 years old male patient
– Lifestyle limiting claudication RC3 (pain-free walking distance < 100m)
– History of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, prior cigarette smoking
– Chronic renal failure
– Duplex sonography: High grade lesions in both iliac arteries, monophasic flow in both common femoral arteries.
– ABI right = 0.72 ; ABI left = 0.67, Serum creatinine = 3.2 mg/dl; GFR = 20 ml/min/1.73m²
